American Chopped Suey

Ingredients

  • 1 lb elbow macaroni
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 3 tsp dried, minced onion divided
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning divided
  • 4 cans Campbell's Tomato Soup
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  • Cook macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • Brown meat in a large frying pan over medium heat. Drain excess grease once cooked. Season with salt, pepper, 2 tsp of the minced onion, and 1/2 tsp of Italian seasoning. Cook 5 minutes.
  • Add soup and remaining seasonings. Simmer over medium-low heat for at least 15 minutes. The sauce will begin to turn a deep red color. Taste after 15 minutes and adjust seasoning, if needed.
  • Add cooked elbows and mozzarella cheese. Stir until melted. Serve and enjoy!
